To the right of Council Ridge, a stump pokes up from the sandy soil. Below it is the medicine cat’s den, its front all hung with moss and reeds. Within is a dry cave strewn with cattail fluff to keep it warm and soft. Rough shelves line the cavern, on which the medicine cat can store their herbs. It was carved out by an ancient tributary of the Runningpaws River that has now dried up. There is a separate room where injured cats can rest and an escape tunnel in the very back.
